Level-Up Challenge 2019

Get ready to evolve into a better version of yourself. It's 2019 and it's time to Level-Up!

This challenge is all about stepping up your game, fixing what's not working,  throwing away the excuses, committing to being more awesome both in and out of the gym, and discovering what it feels like to reach that next rung on the health ladder. It's 2019 and it's time to Level Up! 

Like all aspects of Revo, this challenge is designed to help you do your thing better. Whether you want to run longer, sprint faster, swing smoother, ski harder, or simply look good naked, this challenge will help you reach your goals.

Challenge Dates: Starts on Monday, January 14 and ends on Friday, March 1.

  • 1st place: $150 REI gift card

#winning: How do you win? Earn the most points. 

    Earning Points: There are 4 ways to earn points: daily tasks, weekly themed tasks, Monday weigh-ins, and by completing pre/post body composition analyses. Some of the tasks are pass/fail and some have variable points. You will keep track of your tasks (and points) through the Wodify Rise app. The app will also allow you to check the leader board, talk smack, provide tips, and stay accountable.

    1. Earn up to 10 points/day for completing your 6 Daily Tasks:

    Eat Right, Sweat More, Sleep Tight, Booze Less, Recover Well, Change Something

           2. Earn an additional 2 points/day for completing your Weekly Themed Task:

    Each week of the Level-Up Challenge will include a health theme. These themes are deigned to promote experimentation! We want you to try new lifestyle practices and see what works for you. Some weeks might feel easy, and some weeks might really push you out of your comfort zone. Awesome! Get uncomfortable, try new things, and make a habit out of the practices that work. 

    • Week 1: Hydration
    • Week 2: Meditation
    • Week 3: Endurance
    • Week 4: Belly Break
    • Week 5: Screen Time
    • Week 6: Get Outside
    • Week 7: Journaling

           3. Earn up to 2 points each Monday for dropping LBs

    While we understand that the scale is not the best metric to track body changes (see #4 below for a far more comprehensive analysis), it is a fast and easy way to give yourself a weekly check-in. You NEVER have to share your weight in this challenge, but you can earn points each week for weight loss.

           4. Earn 30 points for completing your pre/post Body Composition Analysis

    In addition to using the scale to track the changes in your body, we are encouraging all challenge participants to do a pre- and post-challenge body composition analysis. We have teamed up with Colorado Nutrition Boulder to use their InBody 230 -- this device uses a Direct Segmental Multi-frequency Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (DSM-BIA) to measure body fat and muscle mass. The scan/analysis only takes about 5 minutes and has a 98% correlation with DEXA -- the industry's gold standard for body comp data. 

    You can earn 15 points for completing a scan anytime during the first week of the challenge (Jan 14 - Jan 23), and an additional 15 points for completing a scan during the last week of the challenge (Feb 22 - March 1).

    The scans are typically $20 each, but if you mention that you are participating in Revo's challenge, it's only $30 for 2 scans (they will give you a voucher for the second scan). No appointment necessary, just stop in. Visit their website for more information on hours and location:
