We are excited to announce the CrossFit Stealth Bringing in the New Year Nutrition Challenge. This will be unlike any nutrition challenge we’ve done in the past. This is a six week challenge and we are keeping it SIMPLE. We will follow three core nutrition principals - eat real food, not too much, mostly plants. The fourth category will be 7+ hours of sleep each night. Participants will earn +1 point for each category for the day. (+4 points max per day). Our goal is to encompass a “lifestyle approach” that focuses on creating long term healthy habits. For this challenge, we are eliminating the nitty-gritty of counting macros and detailed “diets” (i.e. SIMPLE). We want people to concentrate on how they feel by fueling their bodies with REAL food; however, it is still a “challenge” so we will have a benchmark WOD that people can see the importance of “how” their body feels, and we will encourage before and after pictures (not mandatory). In addition, we will have people take a before and after weight (we will calculate % lost). These three things will be taken into consideration when choosing a winner, but will not be the focus.
To make this challenge even easier for everyone, we will supply each participant with 8 containers (additional containers can be purchased on Amazon), that are divided into three sections - 1 large and 2 small. The large section is for vegetables, one small section for protein, and one small for carbs + 1 thumb size serving of fat.
In addition to the containers, we are using the NEW Wodify Rise platform/App to host the challenge. The Wodify Rise platform and App lets participants earn daily points, complete weekly challenges, upload photos, and it keeps an updated live leader board (similar to the whiteboard tab in Wodify).
The kick off Q&A will be held on January 4, 2020. You won’t want to miss this, as we will discuss challenge guidelines, meal prep/shopping tips, recipes, give out “trays”, and how to access Wodify Rise. The challenge is $35 to participate.
